The Egyptian actress Somaya Al-Khashab had received an official invitation from the Organizing Committee of the International Women Film Festival in Sala, Morocco, to be a part of the jury committee, consisting of seven artists from seven different countries.
The 4th round of the festival is held in cooperation with the Moroccan Cinematic Center, and under the patronage of his highness King Mohamed the 6th.
Somaya was invited due to the respect and appreciation given to the cinematic and televised Egyptian creations, as well as the Moroccan public’s love to the stars of the Egyptian art.
On the other hand, Somaya declined 5 scripts she’s been offered saying that she couldn’t relate to any of the characters, and that she wants to maintain a certain criteria in her movie and television choices. Also, she denied having said she’ll be venturing in the production field, as it’s not her field of expertise.
